Sydney 8-bit lunatic Simo Soo and Perth electro-disco showman Tomás Ford have, until now, been persuing a long distance band crush on each other from afar. With Simo Soo heading to Perth to join the launch festivities for the AN AUDIENCE WITH TOMÁS FORD LP on Friday January 27 at Amplifier Bar, it seemed as though they should come up with a couple of tracks to play together in order to properly consumate their musical relationship.
ABOUT SIMO SOO
Do you like abrasive, 8-bit inspired rap? FUCK YES. Simo Soo is based in Sydney but tours everywhere he can (so far including Australia and the US); working with Peaches or The Boredoms, opening for Das Racist and maintaining a prolific release schedule through Lesstalk Records. His new album the SIMO SOO LP is out now at
simosoo.bandcamp.com .
ABOUT TOMÁS FORD
Tomás Ford combines live electro, video projections, light-up costumes and his infamous command of the audience for a thrilling live show that often reaches an ecstatic peak with the audience holding him aloft. He lives in Fremantle, WA, but tours more often than a baby boomer goes on holidays and has played alongside everyone from Gary Numan to Architecture In Helsinki. His new album AN AUDIENCE WITH TOMÁS FORD is out in limited local release on Friday before a national release and touring in March. Hear more of his music at
